“A real gem! A fantastic hotel with exceptional staff. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good. Do take time to discover the 5 course dinner menu at the hotel restaurant . It was the best dinner we had in the region! We had a problem finding a taxi and we would have missed our train to Paris. The manager brought his car and took us to the station. You rarely find such level of service and commitment!”
“A really lovely place to stay and enjoy a holiday in the Loire Valley. Amboise itself is a great location and a cute little town with its own magnificent castle and shops and restaurants. And this hotel, super close to everything, is a true gem. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food was exquisite, and the rooms and grounds are just what you want to experience if you’re enjoying a little French vacation. I especially want to call out Marine, she was super flexible with us, letting us change rooms, giving us great recommendations for food, even finding glass cleaner for me to clean my car windshield. Great place. They go above and beyond!”
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Truly Memorable Experience at Le Clos d’Amboise My husband and I had a small window of time to finish our day in Amboise, and we decided to stop at Hôtel Restaurant Le Clos d’Amboise after seeing a Rick Steves recommendation — what a wonderful choice it turned out to be! The hotel and courtyard are absolutely charming — elegant yet comfortable, with a peaceful atmosphere that invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. We purchased a bottle of wine (so reasonably priced!) and relaxed outside in the beautiful garden, surrounded by quiet and greenery. Even though we had limited time, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Their kindness and attention made us feel genuinely cared for. The meal we enjoyed was one of the best I had during our entire trip — not just in Amboise, but in Paris and beyond. Every bite was incredible, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Le Clos d’Amboise is a place that captures the heart — we left wishing we had more time to stay. Highly recommend!”
